Spend a day on this unspoiled diving and snorkeling paradise. This island was dedicated by the Mayan people to Ixchel, the goddess of love and fertility. It was named "The Island of Women" because of a Spanish legend that when the island was discovered in 1517 they found a large number of statues of women carved out of stone on the beach. The statues were in honor of the goddess Ixchel.

Only a little over 4 miles (7 km.) in length and less than a mile wide (1.5 km.) at it's widest point, this island paradise features pristine white sand beaches, surrounded by clear turquoise waters. The incomparable beauty, tranquillity and hospitality of Isla Mujeres makes this island the ideal place for honeymooners, or anyone in love

Itinerary:
A short ferry ride (open bar and lunch buffet on board) across the Bay of Mujeres, leaving at 9:30 a.m. (09:30 hrs.) from Fat Tuesday Marina (directions available at your hotel) deliver you to a dream world of white sand beaches, rocky shores and clear turquoise waters where you can enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving or simply relax and visit the village of Isla Mujeres. Return at 5:00 p.m. (17:00 hrs.) with our famous tequila party on board.
